Today, Rockstar Games unveiled something that is sure to make each and every gamer on the planet happy. Unlike the past few releases of the Grand Theft Auto series, where mutliplayer was surely lacking, and most players stuck to the single player mode, Grand Theft Auto 5 looks like it will have an amazing multiplayer addition. A short 3 minute video was released today, and already has gamers going crazy over the release. Here’s a look at the video first-hand if you haven’t seen it already:
This trailer definitely shows off a lot of various strong points that look like they’ll be a ton of fun.
Forming together and making a gang with your best friends? They have it. Completing missions with your next-door neighbor? Why not. Challenging your girlfriend to a game of bowling? Sounds like fun. The wide variety of things that will be possible with GTA Online is endless. Rockstar has also said that the world will constantly be expanding, so the game will remain a lot of fun for quite some time, instead of getting boring after a few days/weeks.
You will even be able to purchase items and goods for your character. You can save up some cash and cruise down the GTA Online streets in a newly customized vehicle, go clubbing in your new clothes, or even buy an apartment. They’ve really gone all out with GTA Online, and the fans are certainly reacting positively.
GTA Online doesn’t come out when the game comes out, on September 17th, though. The online release will be available two weeks after the game is released, allowing players to get a good feel for the game before expanding into online play. On October 1st, surely the GTA 5 servers will be full of players looking to test the new multiplayer mode. Hopefully they are able to keep the servers fairly stable, as lately there’s been tons of issues amongst popular games where the servers simply couldn’t handle the expanding playerbase.
One thing that’s keeping gamers at bay, however, is the fact that it doesn’t release until way later for PC. PC gamers are outraged around the world, as Grand Theft Auto 5 looks like a truly spectacular game from every angle. The ailing PC community has tried reaching out to get Rockstar to release the game earlier on PC, but it doesn’t look like it will happen. It looks like consoles have the upper hand again, in getting both GTA 5, and GTA Online earlier.
As long as you have a console, it looks like this will be a ton of fun. Rockstar has outdone themselves again with this multiplayer addition, and it looks as if gamers will spend many hours working together, or against each other, in this multiplayer world. Let’s hope that it ends up being as good as it looks, because as of right now, it looks absolutely amazing from the trailer.
